We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of a groundbreaking project: the delivery of 16 flats for an innovative homeless scheme in Pontypool Town Centre. Working with a listed building presented its challenges, but thanks to the dedication and expertise of our outstanding team, we have successfully transformed this historic site into sustainable housing.

This project began for us in 2022, when Pearl Assurance House, a once-prominent building, had fallen into disrepair and was in dire need of restoration. Instead of opting for demolition and rebuilding, we developed a plan to revitalize the structure, providing quality living and commercial spaces while avoiding the carbon emissions associated with demolition.

Balancing the preservation of the building's original features with modern updates was no easy task. However, our team's commitment ensured that we maintained the building's historic charm while equipping it with the amenities needed for contemporary living. By breathing new life into this empty building, we are not only providing essential housing but also significantly reducing the carbon footprint compared to new construction.
